Handicappers DataMine (HDM) is a research and Development Project. What you see here is pilot program using one Track Circuit, NYRA (New York Racing Association). It is implemented using Microsoft Access and Visual Basic. We have a "Shared Hosting" service for the Website. This technology is fine for a small database and for a few users, in order to illustrate the concepts and develop ideas, hopefully, with your help.

If our vision grows into large operation, the whole implementation of HDM would change to support Multiple Track Circuits, an Enterprise level SQL Database, and a dedicated Website host.

This is the reason that HDM is a free site. It is for research and development. In exchange for free and hopefully valuable information, you supply your ideas and suggestions on HDM.

One of the primary functions of HDM is to develop a database that includes PP's (Past Performance) information, Result Chart information, and Personal information (such as your Belmont Selections). Our goal is to provide a User Interface to allow you to ask questions, which are called Queries (Q's). You ask the questions with some "Points and Clicks" and you get reports back. We call them Q Reports.

Another primary function of HDM is to develop a personal Worksheet (MyWorksheet) based on the set of Handicapping Information and Calculations that are your own. The MyWorksheet is available the night before the RaceCard. This can be your "personalized" racing form to use as a standalone or in conjunction with the PP's. By watching and wagering with MyWorksheet, you visually see how your set of handicapping factors perform.

The final primary function of HDM is to provide a User Interface to enter your personal information, such as selections, wagers, and comments. This information is now part of the database (dB) and can be Q'ed for performance reports.

You, as the handicapper, use these 3 functions of HDM to develop a entertaining and profitable Horseplayers System.
